‘Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man….’ I love that story. In fact I love all stories. I can even tell a lot of stories by myself now. Yes – I am a BIG GIRL!
Mammy says I am a really good girl. I like playing in the garden, going in the greenhouse and pulling up the baby plants and singing songs. I can sing lots of songs and Mammy likes it when I sing for her. She says she especially likes it when I sing at 5 in the morning. That’s the time I like to get up.
Most days, Mammy goes to work. I hate that and I shout ‘Mammy NO work’. That makes her feel bad, which makes me feel a bit better. The minute she leaves, I’m fine and I have great fun with my friends at nursery. On Fridays, Mammy doesn’t have to go to work so she and I do lots of fun stuff together. She says it’s our ‘girlie day’.
This week we baked Gingerbread men. Mammy didn’t have a recipe of her own so she got it from here. They were delicious. I got to colour one in with a paint pen and then eat it afterwards. I made it look all handsome like Daddy.
Today I asked for another Gingerbread man and Mammy said they were all gone. That made me sad. I hope we can bake more Gingerbread men next friday. When I asked, Mammy said, ‘probably not’, or else she and Daddy will get fat. I think Dad and I can convince her though…..
